In this itinerary you can join a long week ride during the last 2 days “Crystalline waters of Gredos”
The transfer is included from/ to Avila town.
Transfer from Ávila to Navarredonda de Gredos (1 hour drive). Welcome dinner at the hotel in Navarredonda de Gredos (Ávila) on Wednesday.
Relaxing full days riding from Navarredonda de Gredos to different direction every day, changing landscapes and opportunities for swimming in the crystalline waters of Gredos Mountains. The summer in Gredos is perfect for excellent riding holidays due to the altitude, Navarredonda is at 1,600 m, so even in July or August is not hot for full days riding and perfect for swimming in the fresh waters at lunch stops in rivers and gorges. Lunches in the countryside, bbqs, paella.., after a relax swimming in the crystalline waters of the rivers at the mountains, very relaxing day rides.
The itinerary is flexible and includes 3 days riding and visits to our herd of horses in the forest living in freedom and visit and dinner in a medieval town in the area. During your stay there will be:
DAY 1- TRANSFER ÁVILA- NAVARREDONDA DE GREDOS.
Transfer from Ávila to Navarredonda de Gredos (1 hour drive). Welcome dinner at the hotel in Navarredonda de Gredos (Ávila) on Wednesday.
DAY 2- DAY RIDING AND VISIT TO A MEDIEVAL TOWN IN THE AREA,
Following the Tormes River Valley Lunch at the beautiful place perfect for swimming. In the afternoon riding along the Tormes river coming back to the stables. Visit after the riding to a medieval town in the area for dinner, night at rural hotel in Navarredonda de Gredos.
DAY 3- FULL DAY RIDING AND VISIT TO THE HERD OF HORSES IN THE FOREST
Faster morning riding to Hoyos del Espino. Lunch stop and swimming with excellent spot. In the afternoon funny riding with canters through the pine forest. After the riding a lovely visit to our herd of horses in the forest living in freedom. Night and dinner in Navarredonda de Gredos.
DAY 4- FULL DAY RIDING
Riding in the morning to Cañada del Gallo lagoon with some great views of the peaks of Gredos with great canters in open landscape. Riding down to the Tormes valley for another luxury pic-nic with an excellent paella cooked at the spot with opportunity for swimming. After a relaxing lunch break riding back to the stables with some good canters. Night and farewell dinner at the hotel in Navarredonda de Gredos.
4- NAVARREDONDA DE GREDOS- ÁVILA
After breakfast in the hotel transfer to Ávila at 10 am to be in Ávila town about 11 am. End of the short break.
