9 dagen/8 nachten/ 4,5 dagen rijden + casual ride
Ga mee op een paardrijdtrektocht langs de oude zijderoute in het Shekhawati gebied dat bekend staat als een openlucht gallery vanwege de vele prachtige oude fresco's op de muren van de gebouwen. Rijd over zandpaden en door het boerenland. Deze paardrijdtrektocht combineert met een bezoek aan Jaipur en de Taj Mahal in Agra, immers u bent dan toch in India, niet te missen toch.
Programma
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi during the night and transfer to Mandawa where you will arrive round about lunch. After lunch you will have some time to settle yourself in in Mandawa Castle, where you will stay in the next two nights and you can rest for some time. In the late afternoon we will leave to stable where you will have high tea and be introduced to the horses. You will get all necessary instructions about the safari and a short ride around the stable will help you to get to know your safari horse.
Day 2: Today our ride will lead you around Mandawa. You will get to see a bit of the town and the countryside and villages around.
Day 3: We start now on a ride from one village to another. On the way you can get a glimps of the everyday life of the villagers living in this rural area. On the farmland you will see man and woman working in a very traditional way, using their own hands, buffalos, donkeys and camels to grow and transport crops. In the villages we pass you can see some traditional crafts- and artwork. The night we will spend in a Haveli hotel.
Day 4: Today we continue our ride and will stay in an old castle. The accommodation is little basic but therefor the castle is known for its lovely frescoes, the great hospitality of the owners and splendid food accompanied by traditional music.
Day 5: Today's ride will lead us back to Mandawa. On our last bit of the way through the town back to stable you will see old Havelis with beautiful frescos. The night you will spend in our Desert Resort Hotel close to the stable.
Day 6: This morning we go on a half day ride around Mandawa before it is time to say goodbye to the horses. After lunch you will leave from Mandawa to Jaipur and have dinner there in our Mandawa Haveli Hotel.
Day 7: Today is sightseeing day in Jaipur. Our guide will show you City Palace and the Hawa Mahal as well as Fort Amber. The evening you will return again to the hotel.
Day 8: In the morning you will have some more time for sightseeing in Jaipur. Or you visit a Printing Workshop that is still using traditional printing methods. Or go on a shopping trip to take back some nice memories from you trip to India. We will adjust the morning program according to your wishes. After lunch you will then head further on to Agra, where you will arrive for dinner.
Day 9: In the morning of your last day another highlight of your travel is waiting for you. You will visit the world famous Taj Mahal before heading further on to Delhi and flying back home in the night.
