Dit is een flexibel programma met meer vrije tijd ingebouwd en toch vele kilometers rijden door de mooiste natuur, langs de kust en in het binnenland. Twee hele dagen in het zadel (uiteraard met pauzes) waarmee je comfortabel rijdt en kunt genieten van het prachtige regenwoud. Tussendoor is het mogelijk andere activiteiten te ondernemen zoals ziplinen over de canopé (de top van het regenwoud) of op een tram te stappen die door het regenwoud rijdt. Een boottocht over een rivier met heel veel krokodillen of in de oceaan kayakken of snorkelen.
Dag 1 Aankomst San José in Costa Rica
Aankomst Juan Santamaria International Airport in San José (SJO) waarbij u assistentie krijgt bij de douane en opgewacht wordt en naar uw hotel in San José wordt gereden (drankjes & diner voor eigen rekening)
Dag 2 Orotina
Transfer naar de Eco-ranch & stables met een stop onderweg bij Orotina Town Centre, kennismaking met de paarden, match met paard en eerste rit. Middagwandeling/hiken. De komende 5 nachten overnachting bij Maravilla Lodge/Sol Pacifico Villa of Cerro Lodge of Orotina. BLD
Dag 3 Machuca river canyon
Te paard naar Machuca River Canyon en Oricuajo del Labrador, picknick lunch. Overnachting in Orotina.
Dag 4 Boottocht op rivier met krokodillen
Crocodile Boat Safari Tour over de Tarcoles Rivier en een bezoek aan het regenwoud om de Aerial Tram te doen en naar de Zipline Canopy Tour. Overnachting in Orotina.
Dag 5 La Ceiba
Countryside tocht met bezoek aan lokale dorpen en het stadje La Ceiba. Overnachting in La Ceiba.
Dag 6 Pacific/Stillen Oceaan
Volle dag te paard om naar de kustlijn van de Stille Oceaan te rijden (Maravilla-Bajamar-Tivivies Crag).
Dag 7 Kayakken & Snorkelen Playa Agujas
Kayakken op de oceaan en snorkelen bij Playa Agujas. Middag transfer terug naar San Jose voor overnachting.
Dag 8
Transfer naar luchthaven of naar haar hotel in San Jose indien je een verlenging hebt geboekt.

Crocodile Boat Safari
Deze twee uur durende boottocht vaart u over de Taroles rivier, waar een van de grootste kolonies van krokodillen in Costa Rica is, met hele grote krokodillen. Prachtige natuur langs de oevers. De rivier komt hier samen met de Guacalillo om uit te komen in de oceaan en is tevens een van de beste plekken om vogels zoals de Mangrove koekoek te spotten, of de kolibri’s, vireo’s en de Panama Flycatcher. Tevens pelikanen, reigers, spoon-billed egrets en cattle egrets.
Aerial Tram Tour
Met 18 gondola’s die elk 9 passagiers vervoren neemt een Engels-sprekende gids u mee door het regenwoud en het rijke ecosysteem. Wederom vele vogels in heel het woud. Indrukwekkende flora en fauna. De tour omvat een bezoek aan de Heliconias Gallery Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Garden and Snake Exhibition in het midden van het regenwoud.
Canopy Tour
Glijd over de boomtoppen van het regenwoud. Een spannende manier om het te zien in deze Zipline Tour. Uw avontuur omvat 15 platforms en 10 kabels, vijf ervan over 200 meter en met een totale afstand van 1503 meter. Een professionele natuurgids zal u begeleiden en uitleg over het regenwoud geven.
Ocean Kayaking & Snorkelling
Deze tour start in Punta Agujas aan de Stille Oceaan en is op 20 min van Jaco Beach. Na een korte introductie en demonstratie begint uw oceaan-avontuur. U paddelt in de kayak of Hawaii stijl kano langs spectaculaire rotsen met vogels en pelikanen, om uit te komen bij een klein eiland in Playa Limoncito waar u kunt snorkelen en het zeeleven kunt zien. Op het strand is een grot en nabij is een koraalrif waar u nog meer zeedieren kunt bewonderen. Verder in de kayak of kano en een heerlijk fruitbuffet alvorens u terug gaat naar Playa Agujas. Voor het snorkelen worden de vesten geleverd. Het snorkelen gaat vanaf het strand, niet vanaf een boot.

II- DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José, where you will be met by one of our representatives at the ramp, assisted and transferred to San Jose Hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning transfer to Eco-Safari Ranch & Stables, located along the Trinidad river in the Dry Central Pacific Region, the starting point of your riding adventure. On arrival you will be introduced to your riding horse, the ranch and its facilities, guides and an opportunity for you to fully acquaint yourself with tack and Costa Rican riding style. After horse assignment, we will head towards Hacienda La Maravilla, riding along rolling hills and meadows into the Gallery Forest alongside the Cuarros river – an excellent spot for wildlife encounters! We meander across the river following a country lane passing en route farmland, rural homes and finally arriving at the hacienda grounds. Later you will be transferred to your hotel. Meals: B, L, D. Day 3: Today’s ride will take you to the Machuca River basin, passing Cascajal village, you will ride into the area where this river canyon broadens onto the plains. Heading towards the Jesús María River basin, allowing exploration of the plains and forested valleys along the Machuca River Canyon, where the land is very fertile and most commonly used to cultivate melons. We finish the ride at a local hacienda and transferred back to your lodge. Included: B, L,D. (BG) (LG)
Day 4: Today you will have a break from riding and be filled with some of Costa Rica's best Tropical Adventures including a sightseeing Crocodile Boat Safari tour down the Tarcoles River and a visit to the the Rainforest where you will do the Aerial Tram and and the Zipline Canopy Tour - See detail descriptions below. Overnight at the Countryside hotel B,L&D. (BG) (LG)
Day 5: Today takes you into the center of rural communities, where you can visit and meet with the people of the communities that have helped play host to you during your week with us. Nothing is ‘staged’ about this event, what occurs is the natural exchange between peoples. On your way you will pass through Santa Rita village, then travel along old railroad tracks, now overgrown and returning to nature, finally arriving La Ceiba town – we will stop at a local venue for a short break and having a drink at John Wayne’s style!! Day 6: Today’s rides take you on a splendid journey (approximately 5 hours riding), following a route which was first used by the Spaniards as they began exploring and settling along the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica nearly 500 years ago. Sights to be experienced include rivers, jungles, Gallery Forests and by following a rural road, Tivives Crag, (which before a land slip into the sea was formerly known as the Port of Landecho). From here you have unforgettable views of the Pacific. Indeed, from this historic site the Spaniards first started their conquest of the Central Pacific in the late 16th century. With a really satisfying day’s riding safely behind you, there will be plenty to talk and share over dinner and well beyond. Meals Included: B, S, D. (EG & LG) (BG) (LG)
Day 7: Today’s a non riding day, you will enjoy an Ocean and Kayaking experience on the Central Pacific coast warm waters and will be transferred back to your hotel in San Jose. Meals: B, L. (BG) (LG) Non-riding Activity: Ocean Kayaking & Snorkelling.
Day 8: Morning at your leisure and transfer to the Airport in time for your flight and our farewells. ($29 dollar departure tax is payable at the airport) Meals included: B.
