Day 1
Arrival to Leon Airport (BJX) or Aguascalientes Airport
(AGU)
Guest are met in the arrivals at the airport and Transfer to
Hotel Hacienda Sepulveda & SPA 50 min by car using
highway 45 D toll road.
Welcome cocktail will be offer in the check in
a hand massage will be given to our guest as courtesy
Members of the family (horse fanatics themselves!) that
have owned the hacienda for several centuries greet us
warmly; a tour will be offer visiting the Hacienda.
Your room will be a large and comfortable Master Suite,
with all the amenities of a Luxury Hotel: TV, telephone, free
Wi-Fi internet, bathrobe, pamphlets; 3 types of pillows.
Some rooms offer terrace and some has hot tube with
Jacuzzi
Introductory short ride to know the horses and you will
meet Jorge Serrano alias Pancho, and Lupe Sanchez they
will be your professional guides during the ride.

Day 2
Ride to La Puerta del Coche Ranch
Today we will ride towards Hacienda La Estancia, riding
along the old Camino Real, Royal Highway.
We will have the opportunities to canter in some parts of
the trail, 3 hrs.
We will arrive to the La Puerta del Coche Ranch, a very nice
Ranch with a Hotel; we will have a nice welcome with
Tequila and cold beer.
We will have the opportunity to visit this private ranch, just
been built, whit horse stables, round pen, arena.
A good lunch will be served.
After lunch we will ride back to Hacienda Sepulveda, a nice
evening ride with well-maintained trails will offer us a good
ride. 3 hrs.
Arrive in Hacienda Sepulveda for a hot tube and relax time.
Diner in Restaurant Mamalena
Night in Hacienda Sepulveda.
Option B Day 2
Ride to Hacienda San Bernardo
Breakfast in Mamalena Restaurant we there are one of the
best eggs in the region, Sepulvedanos eggs, we recommend
them a lot.
Today we will ride to Hacienda San Bernardo, a stunning
ride into the Caminos de Arrieros, old trails where the
vaqueros used to cattle ride, nice ride were we can do some
canters.
We will have a wonderful view of the mountains of the
Sierra of Cuatroalba, we will do a fast pass riding in the
road, a good chat with our guides, be confident to ask him
to tell you the tales about the Pilgrims that first arrive in to
Mexico, good tales about the Indians learning how to ride,
the horses the Spanish brought and so on.
We will pass by the village of El Ojuelo and then Las
Palomas, where you will be able to see this small villages,
where there are cows stables.
We will cross La Sauceda river, and continue riding besides
the Canal.
Arrive in Hacienda San Bernardo, this haciendas was built
in earlier 1800, property of The Guerra Family, very nice
typical Mexican Finca,
The food here is eating homemade food very delicious
We will have the opportunity to visit the Hacienda and also
the old Trojes, barn, also the corrals and see some of the
swill register cattle they own
Ride back to Hacienda Sepulveda 2:30 hrs.

Night in Hacienda Sepulveda
Day 3
Ride to Hacienda San Cayetano
Breakfast in the garden.
Saddle horses ride towards Hacienda San Cayetano, we will
pass by mesquite forest, we can canter on the trails and
been enjoying a nice landscapes of different species of
Cactus, Nopales, and Pirules.
Ride to The Canyon of the Alcazar, Cross country ride with
lots of adventures ascending and then descending the hills
riding through the Canyon, we will see the cows and bulls
4:00 hrs riding in morning after lunch 2 hr riding.
Pita and Juan Alcazar the owners of this Hacienda will
receive us with a courtesy drink, a cold beer or Tequila and
snacks,
Lunch in the hacienda of Pita food specialities of her
cooking.
in the evening, after with a good Mexican wine or
Tequila, Pita will show us about the Equinotherapy, she
has been doing this for the last 20 years, it’s interesting to
know more about it and more because anyone can take a
therapy, and Juan will also show us how he train his
register quarter horses, and give us an explanation of the
Mexican rein,
in this Ranch they have at least 30 horses witch we can see
them.
Day 4
Ride to Sabindas Ranch
Breakfast in the Hacienda,
Today we will ride in Sabindas Ranch, we will take the
horses in the trailer. And transfer guest by car.
Unload the horses in Sabindas Ranch and we will ride
aprox 4 hrs with nice landscape of mesquite and cactus
forest you will see, we will ride in this huge ranch with lots
of adventures, where Mr Ernesto Serrano the owner will
give us a warm welcome, we will continue riding in this
spectacular ranch, with nice trails, cross country ride in
trails, we will see from the up hills the reservoir of
Sabindas, some part of the trails its rocky, we will go down
the hill and follow the cattle path, we will see the reservoir
the dam of sabindas, and ride besides the water, in the
raining season some times we will have to swim with the
horses to cross, continue riding along the reservoir we will
stop at the curtain, to rest a while and give water to the
horses, after a couple hours more riding we will get back to
the ranch and have a superb lunch, if Ernesto its in town
in his ranch, he will give our riders the best of the culinary
experience of the Mexican BBQ, the specialty here is
Lechon, (pig) or also another specialty is Fish a la plancha..
After lunch transfer in the car to Hacienda Sepulveda.
Today we will have a special dinner in The Corral de los
Magueyes.
Day 5
Ride to The manor house Casa Rural La Soledad
A good Breakfast in the garden will be served
Horses will be ready and saddle for today’s ride towards the
village to El Cuarenta, near the Reservoir of the 40,
We will ride in the old Camino Real, passing old bridges,
interesting riding in this old road, where in the colonial
times its was used to transport Silver and Gold.
We will pass by Hacienda Cieneguilla, now on ruins, still
interesting to see the history in the antiques walls,
continue riding in a nice are with lots of threes, we will
cross Lagos river and ride along the river, and have to cross
it a couple times, nice ride with places to canter and lots of
shadows of the trees, we will pass by the village of 1 de
Mayo, and continue riding besides the Canal of the
reservoir of The 40,
Arrive after 3:30 hrs to the old Rural House of La Soledad
The owners will received us and will offer a nice lunch.
After lunch we will ride back to Hacienda Sepulveda, taking
another road, where we can have 2 good canters,
We will pass by Alfalfa and corn plantations, and get in the
Camino Real.
After 3 hrs arrive to Hacienda Sepulveda.
Day 5 Option B
Ride to Hacienda La Troje
Alter breakfast ride to Hacienda La Troje, we will cross the
Lagos River and ride in a well maintained trail with lots of
Mesquites, we will see Hacienda La Galera in our way, and
pass besides the reservoir of Tlacualeche, where there are
many ducks and heron and many other birds.
we will be welcome by the Cardenas-Lomelín family the
owners,
who will offer us a nice lunch.
Relax in this hacienda, free evening, you can go to the
saloon and enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine.
In the evening ride back to Hacienda Sepulveda
Free evening: enjoy this luxury boutique hotel.
After some days in the saddle we recommend you to take a
holistic massage in the SPA, or many other treatments the
SPA has to offer., also use the steam room and the sauna.
Dinner and night in the Hacienda.
Day 6
Ride to The Equestrian Centre “ La Herencia”
Ride from Sepulveda towards The Equestrian Centre
named “La Herencia”, 2:30 hrs,, in this place where
Eugenio Macias a very well know horse trainer and horse
whisper will show us how its done the Natural Horseman
ship, and we will be able to ride in the arena, and do some
team penning, learn how to rope, and practice in the arena
your riding skills, and why not learn more about horses
and the Mexican style of riding, you can also do horseback
jumping, they have obstacles.
We will have a Ranchero meal (Cowboy lunch), with a nice
cold beer,
After lunch we will take you by car to the downtown of
Lagos de Moreno, a beautiful colonial town, UNESCO world
heritage,
City tour know the buildings, churches, theatre, museums,
etc,
Diner in a Restaurant in Lagos de Moreno and experiment
and feel the live of the locals in this nice town.
Transfer by car to Hacienda Sepulveda
Night in our comfortable Master Suite.
Day 7
Ride to Hacienda San Cirilo
We will ride near the Lagos river, going thought some paths
and places where we can canter, in the way we will visit the
Hacienda Sanfandila, we will continue riding and seeing
Corn and alfalfa 2:30 hrs riding.
Arrive in Hacienda San cirilo, the Hacienda of Jorge
Serrano alias Pancho and Lena his Swiss wife will welcome
us to his hacienda
San Cirilo is its own by Pancho and Lena, this couple are
100% related to horses they have this Equestrian Centre,
where Pancho and Lena can show us Natural
Horsemanship, and some recommendations of them are
worthier in order to improve our way of riding, they will
prepare a special lunch for us.
They will show us their workshop where they do
handmade Chaps, Belts, covers and saddles. This
handmade technique it’s not use by many people because
the detail work you have to put on to every piece you made,
this art craft its worthier to see, and know this famous
local artist.
We will see the Hacienda and know some of them horses
Ride back to Hacienda Sepulveda riding along a nice trail
we will can canter and enjoy the evening riding our good
horses, 2:30 hrs

Day 8
Ride to Hacienda Tlalixcoyan
Today we go for a three hour-ride to a beautiful authentic
hacienda: Hacienda Tlalixcoyan. The first part of our trail,
we pass through open fields where they grow alfalfa (main
ingredient of a typical Mexican drink called agua de alfalfa,
also a premium cattle pasture) and then we start following
the ancient Camino Real with its beautiful little bridges.
After an hour and a half we start following the Lagos River.
Riding along this river, we have plenty of shadow and
plenty of opportunities to do some cantering!
On our way to Hacienda Tlalixcoyan we also pass a
deserted hacienda “Cieneguilla” where sometimes cows
stand grazing in the living room: a beautiful sight for
pictures! 3 hrs ride
Before arriving at the Hacienda, Pablo Gomez-Portugal the
owner is already waiting for us on his horse with a bottle of
tequila! As we drink our tequila shots on horseback, we get
closer to Hacienda Tlalixcoyan where a superb Mexican
meal awaits us, all homemade by the lady of the house
Horalia. The homemade flan is the best there is in Mexico!
After Lunch the host Family will show us their Hacienda,
Go back to the horses for getting back to Hacienda
Sepulveda, alter riding along the Lagos River we will take
the old Camino Real, 3 hrs ride back.
After some days in the saddle we recommend you to take a
holistic massage in the SPA today, also use the steam room
and the sauna.
Diner in Mamalena Restaurant.
Day 8 Option B
Ride to Hacienda San Cayetano
Breakfast in the garden.
Saddle horses ride towards Hacienda San Cayetano, we will
pass by mesquite forest, we can canter on the trails and
been enjoying a nice landscapes of different species of
Cactus, Nopales, and Pirules.
Today we will ride to another part of this big Ranch, we will
ride towards el Potrero de la Angostura, where in rain
season there is a nice waterfall, we will continue riding and
enter the potrero where the mares are,
In this part of the ranch there are lots of Palma del
Desierto, Desert Palms,
Nice ride, cross country ride and trails, places to canter.
We will get back to the Hacienda, 4 hrs riding.
If you are lucky in this ranch they do cattle drives and
branding their cattle, hopefully when you are here, will
happen and then you will see the vaqueros in action and if
you are capable and courageous participate with them
roping the cattle,
We will have for Lunch, Discada, a vaqueros meal, made on
an iron disc, with wood fire, it’s a delicious food, made of
beef, pork, chicken, bacon, onions, pepper, pineapple etc,
we cannot share the recipe
Get back to the horses an continue riding to Hacienda
Sepulveda 1:30 hrs
